Types of Detectors

Detectors are crucial components of safety systems, designed to identify various hazards such as fires, gas leaks, or intruders.

Smoke Detectors

These detectors sense the presence of smoke particles in the air and are highly effective in detecting smoldering fires, making them suitable for areas where slow-burning fires may occur.

Heat Detectors

Heat Detectors

Heat detectors are designed to detect rapid increases in temperature, indicating the presence of a fire. Ideal for environments where smoke detectors may not be suitable.

flame Detectors

Flame Detectors

Flame detectors are specialized sensors that detect the presence of flames by sensing specific wavelengths of light emitted by the fire. They are particularly useful in environments where smoke or heat detectors may produce false alarms.

CO detectors

CO Detectors

Carbon monoxide (CO) detectors operate based on different sensing technologies, most commonly electrochemical, metal oxide semiconductor (MOS), and biomimetic sensors

Types of Fire Alarm Systems

Manual Fire Alarm Systems

Manual fire alarm systems require human intervention to activate the alarm. They typically consist of manual call points or pull stations located throughout the premises, allowing occupants to manually trigger the alarm in case of fire.

Automatic Fire Alarm Systems

Detect fire automatically through the use of detectors and sensors. When smoke, heat, or flames are detected, the system activates the alarm without the need for human intervention, providing early warning to occupants.

Checklist for Fire Alarm System Maintenance:
